EIT’s online programs are taught using unique synchronous, online technologies which include scheduled live and interactive webinars. Students access their practical exercises using remote laboratories and simulation software.
We are always open to receiving applications from engineering instructors, with at least five years’ experience in industry, to deliver our micro-credentials and vocational qualifications.
As a successful candidate, you will need to demonstrate an established industry profile and a commitment to excellence. Some teaching experience is ideal, but otherwise you must have a deep understanding of your area of expertise and a passion for the subject matter.
You can be located anywhere because instructors are required to deliver online via webinars (approximately 1 – 1.5 hours in length). You will simply require a computer with a reliable internet connection, a headset with a high-quality microphone, and a clear and enthusiastic speaking voice. You may be required to teach outside of standard business hours.

For instructors of the Professional Certificates of Competency (micro-credentials), you must demonstrate that you have:
- Highly developed spoken and written communication skills in English.
- Completed a formal qualification in an engineering technical area, at an advanced diploma level or above.
- At least 5 years’ industry-related engineering experience.
- A customer-centric approach.
For instructors of the Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas – refer to the requirements above, AND you must have a:
- Willingness to undertake the presenter skill set units in the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Successful applicants who complete the units will have the cost of the units fully reimbursed by EIT.
Onsite Training: Occasional face-to-face/classroom training may also be requested (based on your availability to travel to various locations)
